Voter Registration Deadline Nears

The last day for Monticello residents to register to vote in the upcoming city election is Monday, Oct. 7.

There is only one contested race, and it is in District 2, and all persons who wish to cast a vote must be registered at their proper address.

Chief Registrar Carole Norris said there have been some deletions made by the state to the voter rolls.
