Appreciate Others

In our mad rush to get everyone exactly what they wanted for gifts. This comment made with tongue in cheek. Do take time to remember a few people who you probably don’t even know who are giving you a gift.

Each holiday across our county someone is on call or on the job ready to help you or your family in case of an emergency. Just to name a few are our police, fire station personnel, ambulance and EMT’s, hospital and emergency room staff, rehab and nursing home staffs, and other essential private and government employees of the electrical, gas, water and telephone companies who stand ready to assist us.

There will be businesses open to serve you such as convenience stores, and gas stations. And if needed funeral homes, road crews, and many others including this newspaper. The news never stops.

So, whether you are spending your holidays with family, friends, church members, or out and about in the community, make it merry and safe.

Hopefully you will not need to call on your emergency services, but just in case, they are there ready to serve and protect and giving you a gift that money can’t buy.
