Restaurant Choice

If you’re hungry, Monticello has plenty of choices to satisfy your cravings.

Dairy Queen has a $5 lunch special which includes dessert. DQ’s Blizzard of the Month is Reese’s Peanut Butter Pie. Yum.

Dave’s Bar-B-Que serves up fresh vegetables and daily specials. Ingles’s Deli has a daily meat and two special for only $5. Do you crave pizza? Head to McMichael’s, they also serve up some tasty sandwiches and salads.

Then there’s the new Subway where you can also get a sandwich. How about some tacos? El Giro Mexican Restaurant fits that bill. Or you might want some Chinese food. Great Wall Chinese restaurant on the square has a large menu.

Also on the square find the Vanilla Bean with its tasty soups, sandwiches, desserts and drinks. If you just continue right down the street, you can get a crispy chicken dinner at the Big Chic. Or, if you head across the Square, you can check out the Corner Cafe and its home cooking.

Deptula’s Casual Dining and Catering has a large menu from seafood to hamburgers. Kenny D’s Bar and Grill provides patrons with a wide menu and musical entertainment.

Most of the time while driving west on Washington Street, you’ll get a whiff of BBQ cooking over coals at Pop’s BBQ.

If you’re in the north end of the county, Cindy and Robby will be happy to feed you at their cafe in Shady Dale at the corner of Hwy. 83 and 142.
