Happy Mother’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day, Monticello Moms. As we know, mothers come in all shapes and styles, one size does not necessarily fit all in this category.
Many of us are lucky to still have our mothers to listen to our sorrows and share in our triumphs. Some of us unfortunately have lost our mothers, but have the many memories and photos to remind us. We are all truly products of our mothers.
And if you doubt that statement, listen to your banter as you dole our your advice and realize those words sound familiar, like right from your mothers’ mouth.
Back when Mom was doling out this wisdom apparently it didn’t just go in one ear and out the other.
Remember your mother this coming Sunday she has worn a lot of hats in her lifetime to get you where you are, chief cook and bottle washer, chauffeur, pants police, tutor, nurse, entertainment committee of one, coach and an example to follow.
Not all our mothers are our natural ones, but take on the role regardless. Stepmothers, adopted mothers, grand and great mothers, aunts, sisters, teachers, neighbors, friends, other family members.
They all have one thing in common and that is to raise the child under their care to be healthy, make good decisions, succeed and to learn that love is not love until you give it away.
