Memorial Day
First, on Monday, Memorial Day, let’s all remember those who gave it all for us. They left behind families who have thought of them millions of times and so set aside a moment of reflection for them and their loved ones.
Memorial Day is also the unofficial first day of summer even though summer doesn’t officially begin until June 21.
Hotel rates double or triple during the next week until school begins again in August. The lake and pools around the county will have sun lovers basking beside them. Plans are being made right now for the annual family vacation. Stop! why not have a stress-free vacation?
Stress-free vacations for the kids and the parents can only be spelled one way, CAMP. For some families, it is actually camping, tents, marshmallows roasted over campfires, swimming in creeks and lakes, BUT, some choose the alternative, send the kids to camp.
Many organizations have camps which is great since they do all the planning of activities, all you do is pack and drop-off.
For those of you still planning the family vacation, why not stay close at home this year?
With Atlanta only an hour away, there are so many things to do there, visit the zoo, aquarium, spend the night in a hotel with a pool, eat at the Varsity, walk down Peachtree Street, ride the subway to the airport and stroll around, see millions at the Federal Reserve Bank Money Museum, for many other suggestions search the internet for free and discounted things to do in Atlanta.
Have a good Memorial Day with family and friends and show your pride in America, fly your red, white and blue.
