Our Members Are Marching into Spring
Our members are marching into Spring!
Join us Thursday, March 5, for Business After Hours from 5-7 p.m., at Southern Crescent Technical College, a Chamber of Commerce member.
This is a great networking event that will give you an opportunity to see this wonderful facility in Jasper County. Dr. Randall Peters, President of Southern Crescent Technical College, and Jack Smith, Chair of the Foundation Board, will provide updates regarding the college.
Be sure to bring your business cards to share with your peers, and don’t forget to drop one in our “cash box” for a chance to win $50 (must be present to win).
Our First Friday breakfast is at 8 a.m. on March 6. Come have breakfast with us and network with our business community!
This month’s breakfast is sponsored by Chamber Member, Ginn Chevrolet, and our guest speaker will be Ranger First Class Freddie Hays, the Jasper County Conservation Ranger. He has been employed with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for 22 years and will give a presentation on the vision and goals of the Law Enforcement Division (LED). Don’t forget to bring your business cards and drop them in our “prize box,” there will be door prizes.
Stop by the Chamber booth at the “Seuss on the Loose Literacy Festival” at Jasper County High School on March 7, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a costume contest at 11 a.m. This event is sponsored by Chamber Member, Ferst Foundation For Childhood Literacy.
This month’s featured Chamber of Commerce member is Piedmont Academy. Piedmont currently employs 45 in our community and has 295 enrolled students that represent Jasper County and surrounding counties. Stop by and take a look at their display in our front window next time you are on the Square in Monticello.
