Summer School Is Offered
Jasper County High School and Jasper County Virtual Academy will be hosting summer school credit recovery from May 26 to June 23, with testing on the 24 and 25, from 9 am to noon.
During this time students may re-take any courses they may need in order to graduate. Students may sign up for credit recovery through May 8 with Dr. Gordon at the following link:

After signing up for credit recovery, students will report to Jasper County High School on May 26 to receive their username and password. Students must work at school until they complete the weekly required percentage of 25 percent; however, if the student is doing credit recovery in a math or English course, the student must stay at school the entire length of summer school.
Students are still welcome to work on the course outside of summer school hours, but they are required to be present during the day. There will be designated pick up and drop off points for the students during summer school.
Those who are planning to earn an initial credit in the areas listed below must sign up with Mrs. Anderson by May 8.
Rising seniors who are in need of the advanced algebra initial credit will have to be present for the entire summer school in order to receive full credit for the course.
Other students who would like to take an initial course during the summer school may only take a social studies or science class. In order to receive credit for the course, the student(s) will have eight weeks to complete the course with an average of 85 or better. If the student(s) does not meet the requirements, the student(s) will sit for the class during the school year.
The costs of the summer school courses are as follows:
Credit Recovery for 0.5 credits – $75
Initial Credit for 1.0 credit – $150.
Summer school fees should be paid to Ms. Kerri Norris in the front office. The deadline is May 8.
