Happy Father’s Day

Dad, Father, Daddy, Pops, Papa, any name you call him, it’s time to celebrate the man in your life that will always be there regardless. Many fathers were the first person to see you as you entered this world.

Some of us have lost our fathers, but the memories still remain. He might have been the one to take off your bicycle’s training wheels and ran along side to make sure you didn’t tip over and later on the who taught you to drive. He was the one who seemed so strong and able to solve problems with siblings and friends. And when it came time for you to leave the nest, attend college, get married, he was there supporting your wishes.

Giving daddy a gift on Father’s Day doesn’t require much thought. Why wouldn’t he enjoy another tie and shirt? Yippee. You know what they like, sports, take them to a ballgame, or just watch a game on television with them. Eating seems to be a favorite activity, take them to their favorite restaurant or bring them a delicious meal. Fathers give a lot and don’t really expect a lot.

Your whole life will be influenced by the way you were raised. Thank goodness most fathers remember that and give 110% to be a good influence.

So, this coming Sunday, take a few minutes to remember your father. And thank you to all the fathers out there that have given the next generation a solid basis.
