STEAM Expo Planned Next Weekend

Jasper County Schools will be hosting its STEAM Expo on Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Participants will get a chance to fly a drone quadcopter, explore an Army welding truck, learn from engineers and view numerous student efforts, such as Raku pottery and computer coding.

Several large vehicles will be on hand, such as a school bus, a propane truck, a Georgia Forestry Commission truck and a City of Monticello truck. Visitors will also have a chance to interact with several local business owners and corporations, such as Rusty Bullard, civil engineer, Central Georgia EMC and Heartland Clinic of Chiropractic. The event will start with a Pi-K (3.14 km) Fun Run/Walk.

All interactive events are free to the public.
