Freshmen Orientation Is Planned

Jasper County High School (JCHS) will host a freshman orientation Tuesday, August 8 from 9 a.m. until noon.

The jump start session will be themed “You can Be A Star.” Lunch will be provided and each attendee will receive a welcome gift. Prizes will be awarded for the best celebrity/ movie star costume for both students and teachers. Students may be dropped off at the student parking entrance.

Parents may call the high school at 706-468-5016 to register their freshman.

Classes for students begin Friday, August 11, and The Monticello News is planning a special back-to-school edition on August 3. It will include bus routes, school supply lists, important phone numbers, and everything needed for the students to return to classes.

The school is located at 14477 Hwy. 11 north.
