Title I Meeting Set Tuesday

Parents, guardians, and community stakeholders are invited to attend the Title 1 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Jasper County Primary School at 6:30 p.m.

All schools in the district are Title 1 schools and thus receive benefits from this federal program. This year JCCS is hosting a district wide meeting. That means that if you have students in more than one school you can come to this one meeting and find out all you need to know. There will be an informative session that applies to all schools. Then there will be breakout sessions where specific school information will be shared.

Some of the topics that will be discussed are: What is a Title 1 school? How does your school spend Title 1 money? What opportunities does the school provide for parent and family engagement?

Also, each school will display student artwork in our “JCCS Mini Art Show.”

Additionally, there is a Parent Resource Center located in each school. These areas provide helpful brochures and computer/internet access for our parents. Copies of all of the schools’ Title 1 Parent and Family Engagement Plans and School Parent Compacts are also found here. Locations are:

•Jasper County Middle School: In the Check In/Check Out Office

•Jasper County High School: In the Media Center Room 300D

Parent Resource Centers are open during regular school day hours.
