Financial Aid Workshop Is Today

Jasper County High School will be holding a FAFSA drop-in work session today, Nov. 9 from 4-8 p.m.

To apply for federal student aid, such as federal grants, work-study, and loans, students need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completing and submitting the FAFSA is free and easier than ever, and it gives you access to the largest source of financial aid to pay for college or career school.

To complete the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you will need:

• Social Security Number

•Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)

•Federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)

•Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)

•Records of untaxed income (if applicable)

Students and parents should attend to fill this out together.

If you have any questions, please contact the high school counseling department at 706-468-5016.
