JCMS Recognizes Top Employees
Jasper County Middle School (JCMS) has selected Amanda Billings as its Teacher of the Year and LaToya Johnson as its Support Person of the Year.
Both of these ladies work tirelessly for the good of all students at JCMS.
Mrs. Billings received her degree in Special Education at Georgia College & State University and has taught special education at JCMS for nine years. During this time she has been the lead PEC teacher for two years and also taught sixth grade math. She is a real team player, always choosing to do what is best for the students, according to the announcement.
Mrs. Billings is the wife of Robert Billings and she has two children and three step children. Not only does she enjoy spending time with her family, but she also enjoys camping, hiking, and the great outdoors. She attends New Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
Ms. Johnson has been employed by the Jasper County School System for 13 years. She previously worked at Washington Park Elementary School for 12 years before transferring to JCMS where she serves as administrative assistant.
Ms. Johnson stated, “It’s been a great year serving the administration, faculty, staff and students at JCMS.” Everyone at JCMS benefits from her radiant personality and willingness to help in any situation.
Ms. Johnson is the daughter of Charlotte Johnson and Eubee Minter and the mother of two adult sons, Carey and Chris Sands.
