What Are You Wearing?

Whose clothes are your wearing? Who is dressing you?

I Corinthians 7:9—Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? I thank God for this time to be a servant in Christ Jesus. I also give thanks to The Monticello News staff. Put on the whole armor of God.

St. Matthew 6:27-7:15 which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto His status? And why take ye thought for raiment? Mean—clothing garments, consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet [I] say unto you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

v. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. V. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits.

Since God chose you to be the holy people whom he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. You must make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. And the most important piece of clothing you/we must wear is Love. Love is what binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your [our] hearts. And always be thankful.

Colossions 3

Since you [us] have been raised to new life with Christ, set [your] sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God’s right hand in the place of honor and power.

Let heaven fill your [our] thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth. For you [we] died when Christ died, and our real life is hidden with Christ in God.

And when Christ, who is your real life, is revealed to the whole world, you [we] will share in all his glory.

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within us. Having nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust and shameful desires. Don’t be greedy for the good things of their life for that is idolatry. God’s terrible anger will come upon those who do such things.

We used to do them when you life was still part of this world. [But now] not yesterday, not today not tomorrow, not half hour not an hour nor a minute, but NOW is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander and dirty language.

Don’t lie to each other, for your have stripped off your old evil nature and all its wicked deeds.

In its place we/you have clothed yourselves [us] with a brand-new nature that is continually being renewed as we/you learn more and more about Christ.

Christ is all that matters, if He lives in all of us.
