Marie Perry Is Geography Bee Winner
Washington Park Elementary Schjool recently hosted its National Geographic Geography Bee with students in fourth through eighth grade competing.
In the preliminary rounds, each grade held classroom contests with those winners competing to be named the school wide winner. Marie Perry of the fourth grade won that honor. Miss. Perry will take an online assessment to qualify for state competition.
Third grade classroom winners included Yaunnah Gainey, Kaylee Slocumb, Ben Wojdacz, Mai Jordan, Edgar Corona, Juan Garcia, Justin Ash, Joseph Stanfield, Ethan Stachowicz, Randolph Epps, Keon Griffin, Cameron Wade, Carson Crotts, Autumn Colbert, and Garrett Beckworth.
Fourth grade classroom winners included Greyson James, Gary Bray, Cheyenne Cannon, Marie Perry, Bailey Willis, Natalie Harrison, EmmaLee Anthony, Elaina Ladner, Jordyn Drake, Amarii Johnson, Cody Wilkerson, Chris Griffis, Ellie Slater.
Fifth grade classroom winners included Adam Brown , Ian Sanders, Adonia Shaner-Johnson, Andrew Smith, Janice Markland, Glenasia Stewart, DeJada Marks, Kaelynn Fellows, Kaylee Slocumb, Scarlett Wojdacz, Tiffany Mason, Jaden Hoffman, Evan Diaz, Luis Ramirez, and James Spence.
The seven finalists who competed for the school wide title were Carson Crotts, Marie Perry, Chris Griffis, Cody Wilkerson, Scarlett Wojdacz, Ian Sanders, and Glenasia Stewart.
