Trisha Returns

Friday, our girl, Trisha Yearwood, will come home.

Once upon a time she was a girl growing up in a small country town probably wondering what was out there for her. From the history that’s been written about her she paid her dues and then one hot night in August, 1996, she sang a Capella to the largest audience of her life as she was front and center at the closing ceremony of the 1996 Olympics, viewed by millions around the world.

Rolling Stone magazine describes the song from her newly released cd, “Every Girl in this Town” as, “A scintillating, slow-building power ballad that soars with Yearwood’s rafter-raising vocals at its center, the tune offers a message of empowerment and solidarity to young girls and women everywhere”. You go Girls.

The lyrics to this song are about dreaming, stretching to reach those dreams, “Stretchin’ for stars on our tip toe hearts”, because every girl in this town does it or did it. She certainly is an influence for all girls and women as singer, actress, author and cooking up a storm on her weekly cable show. Welcome, home, to our most famous citizen and may all good things continue your way.

Whenever I am traveling and tell someone about where I live, you are always included along with our movie, My Cousin Vinny..
