HOSA Students Perform Well at State

Jasper County High School (JCHS) HOSA students competed in the State Leadership Conference competitive events and earned several recognitions.

Summer Victrum was victorious earning a second place medal in the Personal Care event. J.K. Strength medaled for third place in the State for Home Health Aide.

Other JCHS HOSA state competitors earned awards by placing in the top 10 in HOSA state competitive events. Gabrielle McCombie (second from right) was awarded eighth place in Nursing Assistant and Gracie Clendenin (right) placed seventh in Home Health Aide.

J.K. Strength and Summer Victrum are advancing to the HOSA Virtual International Leadership Conference in June 2021. The virtual international conference will include live presentations, motivational speeches, virtual display events, and competitive events. Although students cannot perform face to face in competitive events, Zoom sessions will be set up for competitors to display skills in virtual conferences with judges.

HOSA is an organization that networks students with professionals and provides real world experiences through fun competitive events.

Chapter sponsor Patty Cole said, “We are super proud of all our State competitors, this year was especially challenging in the new virtual setting.”
