A Father’s Forgiveness

been hurt? Sure. Did he feel rejected? Probably. Did he feel like a failure? Maybe. Had he experienced anger? Perhaps. Did he want to go and get his son out of the hog pen? The thought may have crossed his mind. But he did not go.

Thank God, Jesus is in the restoration business. He delights in showing mercy and forgiveness. Maybe you have been a prodigal in the past. Or perhaps, maybe you are a prodigal now. Why not go back home today? The Father is waiting. How many have a prodigal child? Do not give up on them. God can bring them back home. Trust him to speak to them now. Get ready for their return. Kiss them. Celebrate over answered prayer. Give Jesus the glory!
