Piedmont Robotics Compete at Auburn

Piedmont Academy’s robotics team progressed to the SOUTH’S BEST Robotics Championship that was held at Auburn University last weekend.

Piedmont’s team competed against other public and private schools from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The team finished 16th in a field of 42 teams in the regional competition.

Teams were tasked with preparing order fulfillment by moving order boxes into the appropriate location, finishing the assembly of the Field Robot, the Team Robot had to control the Field Robot, and utilize it to collect robot parts to fulfill orders.

Piedmont’s team members (pictured) are senior TJ White, eighth graders Madalynn Bryant and Isabel White. The team’s mentors are PAC faculty members, Ralph Hickman and Toni White.
