D-Day
80 years ago today changed our world.
Today, June 6, is the 80th anniversary of D-Day. When our high school history teacher would tell us about D-Day, I assumed he would eventually let us know what the D stood for.
He never did, so finally I found out. The D stands for D.
It was the day the allies, USA, Canada, and Great Britain decided to start the invasion of Europe. It was a miracle that all the militaries were able to work together in almost total secret.
There were so many pieces for the invasion. And although there was some errors in the end the invasion succeeded.
I am sure there will be many special programs during the next few days. Try to see some.
Please recognize any military that might have been in this battle.
