A Loving Gift from God

St. Luke 1:46-47

Mary responded “Oh how my soul praises the Lord. 47 How my spirit rejoices in God my savior! To: The Monticello news staff–I hope you’ll have Merry Christmas this year.

Do you hear what I hear? Do you know what I know?

I once was lost in sin, but Jesus took me in and then a little light from heaven filled my soul. It bathed my heart in love and wrote my name…my name, Cleo, above. Or are you listening? Do you hear what I hear?

The angel Gabriel visits Mary while living in Nazareth, who told her she would conceive a child through the Holy Spirit and his name would be called Jesus, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. God sent Jesus to earth to save humanity from sin.

I for one was lost in sin but I thank God for giving us a sinless baby born to a virgin named Mary who takes my sin and then shine a light from heaven filled my soul bathed my heart in love and wrote my name above. Are you listening? Do you hear what I hear?

God offers a perfect sacrifice through his son’s death on the cross, thus restoring the relationship between God himself and human kind, allowing people to have eternal life through faith in Jesus. To atone for sin. I am so happy for the gift, are you? So when you wrap your gift please don’t leave out L-O-V-E. Do you see what I see?

A God, a living God, gave up his one and only begotten son to save a sinner like me. Who wouldn’t love a God like that. We are to go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere. Joy to the World, the Lord is come . Let earth receive her King. Let every heart prepare Him–Jesus room this Christmas in our Heart for each others!
