B. Garvin Gets Specialist Degree

Bonnie Garvin of Monticello graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University during the Fall 2024 commencement ceremony held December 12 in the Student Success Center.

Mrs. Garvin earned a specialist degree in teacher leadership.

588 students graduated in the ceremony, during which Georgia State Representative Patty Marie Stinson delivered the commencement address.

Georgia Southwestern State University, located in Americus, is a public, four-year unit of the University System of Georgia with approximately 4,000 students. It offers outstanding professional programs of study as well as degrees in the arts, humanities, sciences and graduate programs in business, computer science, education, and nursing.
