J. Dotson is Warfighter

Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Jacob Dotson, a native of Monticello who is assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), was awarded warfighter of the week by Command Master Chief Brandy Gennette.

The ship’s command master chief awarded Dotson the award while stationed in Newport News, Va. on January 30, 2025. John C. Stennis is in Newport News Shipbuilding conducting refueling and complex overhaul to prepare the ship for the second half of its 50-year service life.
