Graduate, Academic Honorees Recognized

The University of North Georgia (UNG) names those students that were honored for academic success during the Spring 2025 semester.

Bailey Love of Monticello was one of almost 1,700 students who earned degrees and certificates to graduate. Bailey graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.

UNG President Michael P. Shannon recognized students who achieved a 4.0 grade point average during the spring semester and thereby named to the President’s Honor Roll.

Four area students, Noah Pitts and Natalie Ray of Mansfield, Silas Bell and Lucinda Johnston of Monticello, were all named to the President’s Honor Roll.

Seven area students were named to the Dean’s List for having at least a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B. Dean’s List honorees included Mallory Glaze, Anastasia Cannon, Philip Proctor, William Garvin, all of Monticello, Dallas Stephenson and Alexis Short, both of Newborn, and Carley Whitmire of Shady Dale.

Positioned in the fastest-growing region of the state, UNG comprises five campuses united by a single mission focused on academic excellence and academic and co-curricular programs that develop students into leaders.
