Jasper County 4-H’ers Jayden Wojcik, Shanae McClain, Carson Crotts, and Leigha Perkins attended Senior Camp for 9th – 12th graders at Jekyll Island recently.
During the week, their classes or voyages featured bike riding around the island, beach ecology, canoeing at the Tidelands Nature Center, herpetology, seining, fishing, and the popular dolphin boat tour and trawl.
Special activities included a campfire with s’mores, beach swims, an All-American themed picnic, trivia night and bingo, dancing, canteen time, recreation, and a tournament between the color crews. Off-site trips to the Summer Waves water park and shopping and lunch at St. Simons Island were highlights of the camp week.
