Dianne Hollingsworth Williams

Dianne Hollingsworth Williams, 64, of Monticello, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Sylvan Grove Hospital in Jackson.

Mrs. Williams, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, was born in Anniston, Ala., to the late Lewis Thomas Hollingsworth and Magoline Parker Hollingsworth. She lived in various locations throughout the country before settling in Jasper County in 2006.

She was an active member of the Monticello Baptist Church and Adult IV Sunday School Class. Mrs. Williams was an avid lover of animals and had a real, natural talent and love for home decorating. She was lovingly known as “Omah” by her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded her in death by her brother, Lewis Wayne Hollingsworth.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Greg Williams of Monticello; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Kathie Williams of Wadsworth, Ill.; grandchildren, Shea Williams, Madelyn Williams, and Grace Williams; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Sam Sprayberry of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Gary and Gwen Hollingsworth of Little Rock, Ark.; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Monticello Baptist Church in Monticello. Dr. Robert Whitmire will officiate.

Interment services were held Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Forest Lawn Gardens, 802 Golden Springs Road, Anniston, Ala., 36207.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, SE #1, Marietta, GA 30067.
