MOTORCYCLIST HIT

A motorcycle was hit by an automobile last Friday on Hwy. 16 west in front of the car wash.

The driver of the automobile said she is so sorry, she didn’t even see him, witnesses said. It was not clear how it happened, and no information was available as of Wednesday at noon from the Monticello Police Department which investigated the incident.

The police chief said he talked to the driver of the motorcycle Tuesday and he is alive and well. No other information, such as drivers names, was available, as the officer was still working on the report, the chief said.
