‘Canes To Begin Region Play
Because the football ‘Canes had a day off last Friday, they have been practicing and getting ready to begin region play.
The ‘Canes finished their non regional play very successfully, with a record of 2-1, and I think it’s safe to say, the ‘Canes have started off great.
I talked to Coach Roberts about last week’s practice and he said, “We had a very successful week of practice. We were able to work on our weak areas, and adjust our special teams.”
The ‘Canes will travel to Northeast Macon this Friday to take on the Raiders. Coach Roberts also mentioned that Northeast is a very athletic team; they are also very sound on defense, and have a lot of speed. Northeast’s key player would be their senior quarterback, who has lots of speed and a strong arm.
The ‘Canes are very strong right now with no major injuries, only scrapes and bruises. So, please come out and support your ‘Canes this Friday, Sept. 27 as they travel to Macon to take on the Northeast Macon Raiders. Kick off is at 7:30 p.m. at Thom
