Mrs. Brenda Nell Hunt Lemons

A celebration of life for Mrs. Brenda Nell Hunt Lemons “Puddin,” who died September 12, 2013 is planned for Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, 827 Hillsboro Street, Monticello.

Rev Jimmy Horton is pastor. Minister Cornelius McClendon will be eulogist. Interment is in South View Cemetery

On August 18, 1954, Mrs. Lemons was born from the union of the late Julia Mae Ward and Johnnie Gibson. At a very early age she was adopted into the loving care of the late Grace and Punch Hunt.

She moved to Atlanta after graduating from High School and while there she met and married Billy Joe Lemons who preceded her in death on August 17, 2012.

Survivors include two sons, Cornelius McClendon and Monte Lemons; two grandchildren: Unytee and Kentwan McClendon; four sisters. Judy Johnson, Sylvia Wessinger, Sandra Gibson, and Dorristeen Gibson; four brothers: David Banks, Michael Banks, James Banks and Willie Bostic; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
