Woman Must Serve Four Years for Drugs

Deborah Celeste Livers, who was on probation for the charge of manufacture of marijuana from this past March, was back in Jasper Superior Court Tuesday, with Judge Hulane E. George, presiding.

 

Ms. Livers pled guilty to the current charges of manufacture of marijuana, possession of marijuana more than one ounce, possession of methamphetamine and obstruction of an officer, and was sentenced to a total of 10 years with four years to serve in confinement, and upon release to serve the remainder of the sentence on probation.  

She was also sentenced to pay fines and fees of $2,780.

Michael Andrew Livers, the husband of Ms. Livers, was also on the court calendar facing the same charges, however his case was continued to be heard at a later date.

Six other probation revocation cases were processed as follows:

•Jeffery Alan Custer, who was on probation for failure to register as a sex offender in October of 2007, was found to have violated his probation via the same charge and the new charges of testing positive for methamphetamine and failure to pay court ordered fines and fees.  

Mr. Custer was sentenced to serve six months in the county jail with credit for time served, banishment from Jasper County and upon release be returned to regular probation supervision.

•Arrico Williams, who was on probation for the charge of theft by receiving stolen property in August of 2010, was found to have violated his probation via the new charges of failure to report and failure to pay fines and fees. Mr. Williams was sentenced to serve 120 days in the county jail, to complete 40 hours of community service and upon release be returned to active probation supervision.

•Donovan Sands, who was on probation for the charge of theft by taking in November of 2010, was found to have violated his probation via the new charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

Mr. Sands was sentenced to serve 45 days in the county jail with credit for time served, to complete 40 hours of community service and to complete family counseling/anger management as directed by the probation officer.

•Travis Clemons, who was on probation for the charges of crossing guard lines with contraband and battery in May of 2012, was found to have violated his probation via the new charges of failure to report, failure to pay and failure to complete programs.

Mr. Clemons was sentenced to serve 120 days in the county jail with credit for time served and to pay $330. Upon release from jail, he was also sentenced to complete family violence intervention program, serve 40 hours of community service while remaining on active probation supervision.

•Kristen Voyles, who was on probation for the charges of forgery in the first degree and giving false information in March of 2012, was found to have violated her probation via the new charge of driving under the influence.  

Ms. Voyles was sentenced to serve four weekends in the county jail, to enroll and complete alcohol and drug treatment program and to perform 40 hours of community service while remaining on active probation supervision.

•Kim Jordan Slaughter, who was on probation for the charge of battery/reckless conduct in February of 2013, was found to have violated her probation via the new charges of disorderly conduct, failure to attend domestic violence classes and failure to pay fines and fees.  Ms. Slaughter was sentenced to 90 days in the county jail with credit for time served.
