Shiloh Proclaims ‘A New Day’ at School

SHILOH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY FACULTY

“It’s a new day at SCA” seems to be the theme this year at Shiloh Christian Academy, according to an announcement from the school.

Pastor Danny Sorrells shared with parents and students last Thursday at Orientation/Open House that SCA will have many new “firsts” for this school year not only with faces, but also with what is offered.

He said that the school will have a school board, offer pre-K and use all teachers rather than have video classes this year.

As Shiloh Christian Academy begins its fourth year this week, Cindy Ellison will be at the helm as the new administrator. Ms. Ellison has a diverse background of experience in teaching, homeschooling and literacy training.

Rev. Ryan Wyatt, a familiar face at SCA, will serve as Assistant Administrator/Athletic Director.

New teachers this year include Kyle Pickens (high school), Deborah Sorrells (paraprofessional), David Artessa (physical education), Kim Arrowood (science), Melanie Tatum (elementary), Cheryl Bland (middle school), and Sharon Salmon (middle and high school math).

As a ministry of Shiloh Baptist Church, Shiloh Christian Academy strives to partner with families to provide students with a Christ-centered, Bible based education, the announcement said.

“We seek to win the lost to Jesus Christ and equip the saints for a life of service to Him,” it said.

Limited space is still available for this school year, which began Monday. The school now offers all grades, pre-kindergarten through 12th and is accredited with the Ga. Association of Christian Schools.
