Police Chase Results in One Arrest
Quan Dameon Middlebrooks was arrested Sunday and charged with possession of drug related objects, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, obstruction of an officer and open container, according to a report from the Monticello Police Department (MPD).
Mr. Middlebrooks, after being detained at the Petro on Frobel Street, allegedly fled the scene, running across West Greene Street toward the railroad tracks before he was caught and handcuffed and transported to the Jasper County Jail.
During the period of August 6-13 the MPD reported the following additional arrests:

•Kenneth Anthony Thurman, 50, Monticello—probation violation.
•Travis Sentail Clemons, 33, Monticello—probation violation (two counts).
During this period officers with the MPD also responded to 55 calls for service including 11 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, six each alarm and subject needs officer, four escort or convoy, and three mechanical break down.
Also, two each diabetic, crowd disbursement, private property, trouble unknown, music/noise complaint and argument, one each speeding auto, intoxicated driver, hit and run, fire alarm, theft by taking, fall miscellaneous ems, assault, juvenile complaint, vandalism of property, road hazard, attempt to serve warrant and 911 hang up.
Also, during the period of August 6-13 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) reported the following arrests:
•Charles Allen Hall, 54, Madison—obstructing an intersection, tail light violation, no insurance, unregistered vehicle, driving while unlicensed, open container and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Justin Alexander Bowles, 31, Manchester—probation violation.
•Samuel Williams, 68, Monticello—probation violation.
•Latonya Andrews, 33, Eatonton—hold for warrant in Bibb County.
•Charles David Perry, 37, Hillsoboro—probation violation.
•Robert Anthony Hall, 40, Maryville, TN—probation violation.
•Kelvin Benard Freeman, 37, Hillsboro—probation violation.
•Marion Sands, 56, Monticello—hold for warrant in Clayton County.
•Stephen Michael Wilkins, 31, Covington—purchase/possess/manufacture/distribution/sale of marijuana.
•Johnathan David Suggs, 28, Jackson—probation violation.
•Dana Gail Christian, 36, Monticello—giving false name or address to law enforcement officer, obstruction of an officer, moving violation, driving while license suspended or revoked, open container and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Melvin Lamar Cosby, 48, Conyers—driving while license suspended or revoked and speeding.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 191 calls for service including 84 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 16 alarm, nine each accident, pickup prisoner/subject and subject needs officer, five threatening/harassing calls, four each domestic, mechanical break down, road hazard and argument, three each speeding, attempt to serve warrant, auto and livestock on road.
Also, two each dog disturbance, welfare check, property found, vandalism of property, trespassing, persons refuse to leave and 911 hang up, one each burglary, assist motorist, intoxicated driver, direct traffic, escort or convoy, theft by taking, be on the look out, diabetic, fall, utility department needed, miscellaneous EMS, child abuse/molestation, discharge of firearms, possible suicide, private property, trouble unknown, music/noise complaint, abandoned vehicle, VGCSA and transport of patient.
In addition, during this same period the Georgia State Patrol reported the following arrests:
•Brandon Thomas Smith, 23, Covington—seat belt violation and
driving while license suspended or revoked.
•Jamie Glen Purvis, 39, Mansfield—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and stop sign violation.
Furthermore, during this same period the Georgia Department of Natural Resources reported the arrest of Justin Michael Manning, 26, of Loganville, and charged him with operating a vessel with improper lights, child endangerment and operating a vessel while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
