Man Is Arrested, Released, Re-Arrested in Butts County

On last week’s arrest report the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) reported the arrest of Timothy Lynwood, Jr, 24, of Monticello, on the charge of burglary.  

The burglary in question took place on July 8, from a residence in Monticello, on Magnolia Street, where the victim reported the theft of over a dozen pieces of jewelry. The stolen jewelry was discovered to have been sold to a gold buyer in Jackson, where Mr. Lynwood received $300 in payment leading to his arrest.

After bonding out of the Jasper County Jail on the burglary charge, Mr. Lynwood was arrested on July 12, in Butts County on the charges of theft by deceiving and theft by receiving stolen property.  He was arraigned on those charges on July 16, and bond was set.

•On July 14 a resident on Goolsby Road in south Jasper County reported the theft of a 42 inch TV.

•On July 10 a resident on Alcovy Street in Alcovy Shores reported the theft of a 14 foot A frame ladder.

•On July 10 a citizen on Duvoil Lane in Shady Dale reported the theft of $2,020 via an Internet transaction scam.

•On July 5 a resident on Alcovy Street in Alcovy Shores reported the theft of a bottle of Crown Royal blended Canadian whiskey.

•On July 1 a resident on Hodges Farm Drive in Mansfield reported the theft of a homemade livestock cage.

Also, during the period of July 9-16 the JCSO reported the following arrests:

•John Bradley Enrique, 22, Shady Dale—Jasper County Superior Court Bench Warrant.

•Dustin Tyler Lewis, 19, Loganville—probation violation.

•Quinton Bryan Slappy, 26, Eatonton—failure to stop at stop sign, failure to maintain lane and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Francis Julius Stephens, 28, Milledgeville—probation violation.

•David Lamar Ewing, Jr., 33, Covington—obstruction of an officer, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, duty upon striking an unattended vehicle, reckless driving, failure to stop at stop sign and canceled vehicle registration.

•Timothy Charles Cronan, 47, Monticello—probation violation.

•Jeffery Sean Kidd, II, 21, Monticello—probation violation.

•Dustin Lee Raynor, 18, Monticello—obstruction of an officer.

•Willie B. Card, 65, Hillsboro—civil contempt order.

•Alexandria Leigh Brooks, 19, Monticello— obstruction of an officer.

During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 177 calls for service including 71 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 16 subject needs officer, 10 alarm, nine mechanical breakdown, five each accident, pick up prisoner/subject and road hazard, four each welfare check, vandalism of property and argument, three each speeding auto, juvenile complaint, courtesy ride, trouble unknown, checking location and fraud/theft by deceiving.

Also, two each assist motorist, escort or convoy, theft by taking and extra patrol, one each dog disturbance, burglary, domestic, livestock on road, intoxicated driver, direct traffic, miscellaneous ems, child abuse/molestation. assist invalid, missing person, child custody case, discharge firearms, private property, music/noise complaint, abandoned vehicle, illegal dumping/littering, dead on arrival and 911 hang up.

Also during this period, the Monticello Police Department (MPD) reported the arrest of Ronald Wayne Wilkins, 49, of Monticello, and charged him with disorderly conduct and obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers.

During this same period officers with the MPD responded to 56 calls for service including 11 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, eight alarm, four road hazard, three each mechanical breakdown, trouble unknown and argument.

Also, two each domestic, assist motorist, intoxicated pedestrian, theft by taking, private property and persons refuse to leave, one each burglary, fire, allergic reaction, shortness of breath, miscellaneous ems, crowd disbursement, subject needs officer, music/noise complaint, vandalism of property and seizure.
