Flora Beasley Pope

Flora Beasley Pope, 94, known to most people as “Beasley” and to her grandchildren and great grandchildren as “Granny” died Saturday, June 29, 2013.

Ms. Pope was a retired nurse and spent most of her life taking care of others.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Felton and Yvonne Beasley; grandsons, David Beasley of Eatonton, Dale Beasley of Fortson, and Paul Beasley of Cartersville; and five great- grandchildren.

She is also survived by her caregivers Cecil Swain and Wanda Hurt.

Preceding Ms. Pope in death were her husband, Bill Pope, son Paul Beasley and granddaughter, Ashley Wilbanks.

Visitation was held on Monday, and services were to be Tuesday, July 2 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel with Rev. James Smith officiating, with interment at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.

Vining Ivy Hill Chapel, 105 Lower Harmony Rd NE, Eatonton, GA 31024 was in charge of the arrangements.
