De’Atrius Deshaqur Stone

De’Atrius “Debo” Deshaqur-Ajenee Stone, 18, of Monticello died June 19, 2013 at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Stone was born April 30, 1995, to Lanetra Whuntrell Stone of Monticello and Eddie Tobias Webb of Shady Dale.

He graduated May 5, 2013, from Jasper County High School. He was planning to attend East Georgia College in Swainsboro in the fall.

He committed his life to Christ at an early age and was united with Springfield Missionary Baptist Church where he was very active in the youth department. He put God first in everything he did.

“Debo” loved his family and friends unconditionally. Football and basketball were his passions. He always had a smile that would brighten everyone’s day.

Mr. Stone was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Eddie Webb, Jr., and great grandparents, Homer Ross, Willie James and Gwendolyn Marks.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Betty and Larry Thurman; Evelyn and William Stone, all of Monticello; paternal grandmother, Agnes Ross Webb; great-grandmother, Naomi Ross; sisters, Arlaycha Stone, Bryna Jackson, and Essence Webb, all of Monticello, and Janaiya and Jamaria Webb, both of Covington.

“Debo” will be sadly missed by his Godmothers, Quansheka Smith and Kemetria Banks; special friends, and a host of relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were members of the 2013 Monticello Hurricane basketball team. Flower attendants were members of the class of 2013.

A service was held Monday, June 24, at Springfield Baptist Church, Monticello. Rev. Jimmy Horton officiated. Interment was held in New Enon Cemetery in Godfrey.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
