Retired Teacher, A. Stewart Writes Book About Father

Audrey Davis Stewart has gathered memories of her father, the late great Coach Lester Davis of Monticello, and composed a book for all those that knew him to have.

United We Stand reflects on the life Coach Davis lived and the great number of winnings (783 boys’ varsity basketball) his teams obtained in his career as basketball coach in Monticello from 1956 until 1990.

The book is filled with inspiring messages and stories she witnessed firsthand as his legacy developed, said Ms. Stewart.

The retired teacher of the Monroe County school system is a new author. The new author taught 24 years of second grade and 6.5 years of Pre-K in Forsyth.

Ms. Stewart, is hosting her first book signing event in Forsyth, at the Central Georgia Convention Center, with the date to be announced later.
