Reward Offered For Turtle Cove Vandals

A five hundred dollar reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for vandalism committed at the Turtle Cove Clubhouse early last Tuesday morning, May 15. Motion cameras captured images of two of the three vandals at approximately 2:30 am on the above mentioned date.
The vandals were naked from the waist up covering their faces with what appeared to be t-shirts. A deputy with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded to the incident last Tuesday morning and turned his information over to investigators.

Two other criminal incidents recently reported by the JCSO include the following:
On May 17, a citizen reported the theft of a lottery ticket from a location on Oconee Forest Road.
• On May 15, a citizen reported damage to mailboxes at two separate addresses on Crane Court.
Also, during the period of May 13-21 the JCSO reported the following arrests:
• Oliver Northous Jackson, 25, Monticello-purchase/possess/manufacture/distribution/sale of marijuana.
• Ollie Mays, 53, Monticello-possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
• Phillip Stanley Fuller, 57, Covington-probation violation.
• Steven Cody Christian, 24, Monticello-hold for warrant in Newton County.
• Courtlee Wilton Taner, 25, Rutledge-probation violation.
• Jose Pinon Antonio, 27, Covington-speeding and driving while license suspended or revoked.
•Senior Lynwood, Jr., 52, Monticello-child support.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 242 calls for service including 120 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 19 subject needs officer 11 alarm, seven accident six vandalism of property, five each assist motorist and theft by taking, four each escort or convoy, mechanical breakdown, pick up prisoner/subject, courtesy ride and music or noise complaint, three each fight, domestic, mental person, welfare check, trouble unknown, checking location, road hazard and attempt to serve warrant, two each dog disturbance, property found, speeding auto, livestock on road, intoxicated driver, fire, be on the lookout and shoplifter, one each hit and run, chase in progress, wanted/stolen indicated, four wheeler, child custody case, threatening/harassing calls, shoplifter, argument, abandoned vehicle and identity fraud/theft.
In addition, during this period the Monticello Police Department (MPD) reported the following arrests:
• Sharon Epps, 46, of Monticello-theft by shoplifting.
• Frederico Alawandra Williams, 31, Monticello-hold for warrant in Newton County.
• Jeremy Matthew Debuc, 21, Monroe-hold for warrant with Covington Police Department.
During this same period officers with the MPD responded to 83 calls for service including 33 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, seven escort or convoy, five subject needs officer, four each domestic and music/noise complaint, three each alarm and theft by taking, two each fight, speeding auto, trouble unknown, shoplifter, vandalism of property and identity fraud/theft, one each burglary, assist motorist, accident, intoxicated driver, shortness of breath, assault, extra patrol, welfare check, four wheeler, private property, trespassing and vgcsa.
Also during this period the Georgia State Patrol reported the arrest of Larry Demond Dumas, 27, of Monticello, and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, obstruction of an officer, and two counts of seat belt violations – endangering the life of a child.
