Man Is Busted for Drugs

Christopher Head, 35, of Monticello, is being held in the Jasper County Detention Center on charges of trafficking of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, sale of methamphetamine (two counts) and possession of marijuana.
According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) the charges come as a result of a nine month operation of an investigation into a suspected drug house on Goldenhawk Court in Turtle Cove, which culminated last Friday, May 3, 2013.
In a traffic stop, Mr. Head was found to be in possession of about one ounce of methamphetamine, which is a trafficking amount under state law. A subsequent search warrant executed at Mr. Head’s home yielded the seizure of methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging material, security cameras, six firearms, a large amount of ammunition and concealable body armor.
