Sheriff’s Office, GSP Make Arrests
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) had no major crime to report for the past week, however the following arrests for the period of April 23-30 were reported:
•Michael Arthur Johnson, 33, Monticello — criminal trespass.
•Joseph Paul Williamson, 39, Dahlonega — probation violation.
•Roberto Torres Williams, 40, Shady Dale—driving while license suspended, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, fleeing to elude a police officer and reckless driving.

•Jeffrey Olice Lake, 30, Monticello — battery and criminal trespass.
•Xazavin Deronte Jackson, 24, Monticello — probation violation.
•Stephanie Elaine Miranda, 28, Monticello — contempt violation.
•Tenera Femek Vinson, 40, Monticello—deposit account fraud.
•Darren Mitchell Greer, 48, Monticello—probation violation.
•David Lamar Ewing, Jr., 32, Covington—criminal trespass and public indecency.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 293 calls for service including 154 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 21 attempt to serve warrant, 20 subject needs officer, 12 accident, 10 checking location, eight alarm, and five each assist motorist, mechanical break down, pick up prisoner/subject, juvenile complaint and trouble unknown.
Also, four welfare check, three each domestic, escort or convoy, fire, child custody case and trespassing, two each speeding auto, extra patrol and road hazard, one each prowler report, livestock on road, theft by taking, mental person, wanted/stolen indicated, unconscious, assault, missing person, four wheeler, counterfeit, possible suicide, private property, music/noise complaint, vandalism or property, argument, abandoned vehicle, fraud/theft by deceiving and 911 hang up.
The Monticello Police Department did not report any arrests during the period mentioned above, however they did respond to 59 calls for service including 20 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, four accident, three escort or convoy, two each speeding auto, miscellaneous ems, welfare check, subject needs officer, vandalism of property, argument and seizure, one each alarm, domestic, intoxicated driver, direct traffic, theft by taking, bleeding, shortness of breath, chest pain, unconscious, fall, child custody case, discharge firearms, trouble unknown, suspicious package, fraud/theft by deceiving, 911 hang up and stroke.
The Georgia State Patrol reported the following two arrests in Jasper County during the past week:
•Chadwick Charles Thompson, 37, Stockbridge—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs less safe and failure to maintain lane.
•Randy Steve McElveen, 36, Mansfield—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.
