JCHS Graduation Is Sunday

Jasper County High School graduation will be held this Sunday, May 5, at 6 p.m. at Rose Bowl field, weather permitting. If it rains, graduation will be held in the gym at the high school, 14477 Hwy. 11 North.

Some 100 graduates will receive diplomas for the JCHS Class of 2013. Olivia Aldridge, the top academic student in the class, is valedictorian, and Amanda Kelly, with the second highest average is salutatorian.

Shiloh Christian Academy will hold graduation exercises on Sunday, May 19, and Piedmont Academy’s graduation is set for Saturday, May 25.

The Monticello News annual graduation section, saluting all the local graduates, including college grads, will be published Thursday, May 16.

Individuals wanting to honor a special grad or the whole class can place discounted ads through tomorrow, May 3. Individuals and businesses can salute a member of the class or the entire class with an ad until next Friday, May 10. All news releases concerning college grads and scholarship information should also be submitted by Friday, May 10.
